This policy explains what data pearOS NiceC0re (operated by Pear Software and Services S.R.L., "we", "us") collects when you visit pearos.xyz and its subdomains, why, and what choices you have.
Cookies & consent
We show a cookie banner on your first visit. Nothing described below under "Analytics" or "Advertising" runs until you press Allow — if you press Decline, or close the banner without choosing, none of it loads. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for pearos.xyz, which brings the banner back.
Analytics we run ourselves
Once you consent, our own server records:
- Page view counts and download counts, as plain aggregate numbers.
- A "live now" count — an anonymous, random per-tab token with a timestamp, kept only while your tab is open and deleted the moment you leave. It is never linked to your IP address, browser, or identity, and is not stored long-term.
We do not store your IP address, user agent, or a per-visitor history in this system — the file behind it is deliberately just numbers.
Third-party analytics & advertising
With your consent, we also load:
- Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager — usage analytics operated by Google.
- Google AdSense — displays ads on this site and may use cookies to personalize them based on your visits here and elsewhere.
These are operated by Google LLC and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy and, for advertising specifically, How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can view or opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and out of Analytics via the GA opt-out browser add-on.
We also embed a small number of third-party widgets you may interact with directly — GitHub Sponsors, PayPal, Patreon, Ko-fi — on the Donate page. Each is operated by its respective company under its own privacy policy; we don't receive your payment details.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data.
- We don't require an account or collect your name, email, or address to use the site.
- We don't track you across other websites ourselves — only the third parties above (Google) may, per their own policies, if you consent.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR if you're in the EU/EEA), you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent at any time. Since we don't store identifying analytics data ourselves, most such requests will concern the third-party services above, which you can manage directly through the links in this policy.
